I love you

Hey everybody, I saw we got a bit heated in the comments in the last post. So I wanted to say that I love you all. (Awwwww!!! Do you love me too? You do? YAY!)

Here are some facts:

I have no control over anything to do with the movie. I do not pick the actors. It doesn't matter how hard you try to "reason" with me in the comments -- I really truly don't have any control, so I hope you'll tone down the "do something, Lisa!" stuff. Because I can't do anything. Besides, I'm thrilled about this development in the movie arena.

That said, I think everyone should have the right to free speech. I don't mind that you disagree with things. That's fine. But I don't like it when people say things like "if you love us you'll change things or else we'll stop being your fans." See above -- I have no control. And it's hard to believe a true fan of the books would do that. Still, I respect your right to say how you feel.

There's no guarantee that the movie will be made. If it is, don't forget we have an amazing writer attached in Christopher Landon.

I love you all no matter how you feel about Miley Cyrus being in talks to play Janie. For the record, I think that all actors have to try new things to grow and transition from child to adult actor. I think Miley would do a great job. But there's no guarantee of a movie so maybe everybody should just calm down for a while.

I hope that those of you who do not like Miley will realize that nobody will force you to watch her movies. It's that simple, folks. You don't like it? Don't go.

Did I mention I love you? Cuz I do.

I love you to.. and the book, and whatever may happen movie wise... thats so exciting.

Its unfortunate so many people don't realize how things truly work as far as movie rights.

I love the books, the story and the whole 'Wake' world you've created. Even if the movie is made, the movie is lack-lustre, and I don't love it, I will still love the books. Although, how can a story like the one you've created NOT be a great movie?

Wow, guess I missed those comments. Not cool. I think Miley's a good actress. Regardless, I just want a Wake film so I hope it happens and then I can go and enjoy the wonderful story on a big screen! I don't expect books to movies to be the same anywaya...I just enjoy it. :)

I only read the books a little while ago, but I think that the whole 'Wake' world will look fantastic on the big screen! I can't wait to see it, no matter who plays the lead role. People need to be more openminded about Miley being Janie. Hating is soooooo not cool! I LUV UR BOOKS LISA! I also luv u! = ) Congrats! = )

I'm sorry people got so heated on your post. Even though Miley Cyrus is the last person I'd ever want to play ANY character in ANY of the books I want made into a movie, I'm understanding enough to realize that it's not in your hands.

Your books were terrific; I loved every single one of them. And regardless of who's starring in the movie, I'll definitely be supportive. I really hope that movie gets made, though I know it won't come close to being as awesome as the books themselves.

Thanks so much for writing!

I would just like to say that I am a huge Miley Cyrus fan. I read alot of blogs reporting Miley signing on to star in this film and eventually curiosity got the best of me. I finally went and rented Wake from my library and I absolutely could not put it down. After I finished the first one, I immediately seeked out the second and that one was just as intriguing. Now I am trying to find the third, and chances are I will just buy the trilogy. So I thank Miley for, unintentionally and figuratively, introducing me to your books. I am now reading some of your other works as well. One day I do hope to see this movie made, and being the huge Miley fan that I am, I hope to see her as Janie. But regardless of who is in the movie, I am definitely looking out for it theaters in the following year(s) to come
