Here, kitteh kitteh...

FADE came in at #7 on the NYTimes bestseller list this week! Which means one thing: only one more week on the list separates me from adopting a tiny, adorable kitteh who needs a home.

Save a kitteh -- tell your friends to buy a copy of FADE today!

I'm so excited for you! I'm glad you're adopting- so many people over look rescue animals, but they are the best (in my unbiased opinion:) )

hi lisa,

i just purchased a copy of "Fade" for my daughter tonight! another step closer to the kitty! :-D

i have had problems with my daughter, 14, reading each night. we have slowly worked our way this year up to one hour per night of reading. last night, i alerted her that her hour was up. she was reading "Wake". she was so engrossed in the book that she could not put it down. instead of reading for an hour, it was two hours of reading. she completed the last 10 pages tonight. "Wake" was the fastest she has ever read a 200+ page book. Normally 3 weeks+. "Wake" in 4.5 days!!!! After purchasing "Fade" from Books A Million tonight, she had it open and reading as soon as we hit the car to head home and has not stopped! me, i am learning all about the book because she gives me a 30 minute recap of what she is reading.

thank you for writing such a great series!!!

it makes this single dad so proud of his daughter to be reading so much... she is desperately looking forward to "Gone". Yes, we will be purchasing "Gone" when it arrives!

Many thanks to all!! We shall see what happens. Fingers crossed. :)

Tim, that is really great. I'm so pleased she liked it and it's funny how you get the play-by-play. I get that with my daughter too.

For my daughter, the magic book that finally turned her on to reading (after doing very much the same as what you did, working on it nightly -- like pulling teeth) was 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson. Something clicked, and it turned my daughter into a reader.

Go, single dad -- you rock. And thank you for the help with the kitten. :)

Hey there, I just finished reading WAKE yesterday and I LOVED it!!! And, by total accident, I discovered a song that totally fits Janie's story today. It's by the punk rock band Blackfire and it's called "Someone else's nightmare". You should listen to it, 'coz it'r like really perfect for the book.
I can't wait to get my hands on book two, but since I'm living in Germany, it's not that easy to find.
